On July 22nd,there was a forest fire in Sumatra.There is almost twice as many hot spots detected in Sumatra as at the same time last year and the year before.there was 2248 hot spots in Sumatra compared with 1218 in 2007.Last time,the haze hit Singapore hard.We were lucky that the smoke was blown away by the north wind.If the winds blew south-west,the haze would hit Singapore and would persist for months.the annual average tempreature rose to 1.4deg C, way above the long-term average.
During our Science lesson,our teacher taught us about how man harm their enviroment.It cause gobal warming,breaking of the ozone layer.Once the ozone layer is destroyed,we will be exposed to the harmful ray of the sun.Now,the north pole are melting and causing the water level to rise.It cause flooding in the lower countries and more land would be lost.Luckily,Singapore is still quite high and would take a longer time to be flooded and soon it will be the end of the world.

On 21st of July,our school celebrated Racial Harmony Day.Of course, there was no mass assembly as there was the H1N1 outbreak.So, out teacher shown us a a video which must be acted at that day.
1st, Ali,(Mr Aidil)invited his friend bob(Mr Derrick Tan) it was about the 4 major weddings in Singapore.The first one was the chinese weddings which was usually celebrated in homes.The newly weds would kneel down to the elders and serve them tea.After that,the elders would give the hongbaos.Next,the Malay weddings.They need to sit on the chairs for a day and get poured on rice.The indian wedding was next, the dance .The eurasian,they a have to stand in front of the church.The priest would ask them weather the want to marry and they will say"yes".last, you may now kiss your bride,and "hahahahahahahaha" the class went.
2nd,is is about a touching story about 2 neighbours but telling the truth, i was not touched.Haha a joke, of course they can"t touch me as they in the video.to be continued.....

Today, we went to the East Coast Park.It was a "terrible" day as i got injuries all over.5 of my friends"rammed"me accidentally.I got no problem with the bus this time.When we got there,it was still raining and our teacher told us to play in the rain if we want and most of my friends went to rent a bike.i thought that i got quite a "wonderful"bike, but it broke later on.I paid before leaving and went to our teacher to put our bags down.Hao Yu and I ride to the right side (still raining and also first"ramming")We cycled at a high speed to win Matthew when later he said to ("gos tan"hockkien for turning back)and i turn around and Hao Yu didn't stop his bike and "rammed"on to me.I got my palms and back injured.I carried on cycling even though i was injured.Back to our teacher,I lend Rui Xuan my bike and i rested.When the came back, the rain stopped.I then continued my cycling.Rui Xuan then rented his own bike and cycled together(Hao Yu, Sriram, Him and me:).At a not very but very high speed,Sriram Rui Xuan and I happened to be at the same row and Hao Yu was in front (second "ramming" going to happen).Rui Xuan turned a little to the side where Sriram was and Sriram thought he was going to "ram"into him so he turned to my side where i fall.I was lucky i was not very injured.We ate,McDonald yeah! I'm not going to talk about the third "ramming"as the person i hate "ram" the purposely.I just name the person X as he will still be in this journal and try guessing who he is.The fourth one is actually me "ramming"him as he braked in front of me and...i crashed in front of him(Rui Xuan).

This is the most serious among all injuries.
Time's going out when HY (names in short as I'm sleepy) suggested that Him, RX, S and me go for 1 long big round.X was there when we cycled not when i felled.It happen like this...
while we was Cycling through a "forest" (less than 1 KM), there was a slide at the end and...
i crashed, trying to brake i fall,all wet(oh ya ,by the way RX backed out)HY and S came cycling towards me(Hy was First,Me second,S last)when i got up and cycled,it was 3 minutes to cycle to the shop.it was totally impossible as we were tired and it was very very very far away.we reached there 2 minutes over but luckily that person didn't charge us.
Haha if you waited for a week, haha i still will not tell who is x

seasonal influenza.Countries set up equipments to "see" if anyone is having a fever when they pass through the country.I do not think it is effective as even if we got a fever, what the school could do about it, everyone in the school might have got it.But the good thing is that we could alarm the whole country...BUT,the WHOLE COUNTRY MIGHT HAVE H1N1 already. We could instead go home and use our computer for work but who is going to help us during PSLE???there is already 1 such case in Singapore where a woman got it.but stopped quickly.I would buy loads of food and prepare for the worst.Nah.I would eat more vegetables and fruit as at least that we could protect me more than nothing.And we must still prepare for the worst.

We must be kind and help even your enemy and kindness could make enemies better and better,until friends. Friendship lasts forever and ever. Always try not to talk bad things about other people behind their backs as just imagine that someone talked bad things about.

I have my oral at 22-04-09 as i have maths olympiad.I have to wait very long until my turn as my register number is 37 (the most is 40).Samoeul no.38 is just behind me.Cyril,no.39 is not in maths olympiad have oral tomorrow.Butterflies start to grow more and more in my stomach as i got closer to the examiner.When it was my turn,i read the passage to myself and the picture passage.About five minutes or so,i had my oral eam.Our teacher remind us to have eye-contact with the examiner but the examiner kept laughing at my reading so when i looked at him i will also laugh.Then i went to have my mother-tongue(chinese).My examiner Mdm Chang,which was my mother-tongue teacher.When i finished my exams,i tried to find my friends but they went home.

The theme of this year's International Freindship Day is getting to know about ASEAN. ASEAN stands for Association of South East Asian Nations. There are ten countries in ASEAN. They are Myammar, Cambodia, Phillipines, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Laos, Vietnam, Brunei and Singapore.International Friendship Day is celebrated on the first sunday of august annually.This year,my school held a concert to celebrate International Friendship Day.They invited an Indonesian woman over to talk about Indonesia and after that had a performance by the Angklung group and Cyril our classmate is also in it.
